Cover Whale Insurance Partners with Telematics and Dash Cam Providers to Enhance Risk Assessment and Driver Safety Programs

Cover Whale Insurance, a provider of commercial trucking insurance, has formed strategic partnerships with telematics and dash cam providers Nexar, Netradyne, Orion Fleet Intelligence, and Waylens to enhance its data collection and machine-learning capabilities. The partnerships allow the company to accurately price risk and offer discounts to its safest policyholders. Cover Whale’s Driver Safety Program, which includes cameras, coaching, and coverage, helps assess and address risk by capturing unsafe driving events and providing AI-driven situational context to the data. 

The company has also welcomed Tony Beirne as its chief data officer and chief actuary to further advance its innovative risk assessment approach. To continue encouraging safe driving practices, Cover Whale now offers a Safe Driver Discount of up to 15% to its safest policyholders.

 Earlier this year, the InsurTech partnered with TrustedChoice.com, a digital marketing platform for independent agents and brokers.
